Morayfield’s shopping landscape is changing, with a new Coles supermarket rising along Oakey Flat Road as construction progresses on a retail centre that will bring groceries, specialty shops and a 7-Eleven service station closer to the suburb’s southern neighbourhoods.
The shopping centre at 192–202 Oakey Flat Road, near Clark Road, is being built by Mainbrace Constructions for Coles Group Property Developments. Covering a 26,100-square-metre site, the project includes approximately 6,900 square metres of retail space, five buildings and a separate fuel service station.
The new supermarket will provide another grocery shopping option in Morayfield, separate from the existing Coles at Morayfield Shopping Centre, with additional premises planned for smaller businesses.

Building Works Bring the Centre to Life
Construction has moved beyond site preparation, with Mainbrace documenting progress on the retail buildings and service station earlier this year.
In an April 2026 update, the builder reported that concrete wall panels were being lifted into position, with structural steel deliveries expected to follow. Underground fuel tanks had also been installed for the 7-Eleven service station.
Mainbrace announced its involvement in the project in 2025, outlining plans for the buildings, retail space and supporting infrastructure works. Its construction updates show how the project has progressed from a proposed shopping destination to buildings taking physical shape.
Those milestones were reported earlier in the year and do not establish precisely how far construction had advanced by November.
Another Shopping Option for Morayfield South
For households along Oakey Flat Road and in surrounding residential neighbourhoods, the new centre could make routine grocery shopping more convenient without travelling to the larger retail precinct along Morayfield Road.
The supermarket will be accompanied by smaller retail premises, although the full list of businesses expected to occupy them has not been confirmed. The 7-Eleven service station is another identified component of the development.
The centre is taking shape along a corridor that has also attracted housing and community-service proposals. These include separate residential and childcare developments, reflecting the range of changes being planned for this part of Morayfield.

When Will the New Coles Open?
An official opening date for the new Coles supermarket has not been independently confirmed.
Although Mainbrace’s earlier updates establish that construction was progressing during 2026, they do not provide a verified completion timetable for the centre.
For residents looking forward to shopping at the new Coles, the remaining questions are when the supermarket will open and which other businesses will join it.
