Woolworths Morayfield Revamp Brings Fresh Food and Local Jobs to the Community

Woolworths

Pumping more than 20 new jobs into the local economy, Woolworths has completely overhauled its Morayfield Shopping Centre supermarket to give residents a massive new range of Australian produce and convenient ready-made meals.

Boosting the Local Workforce

The supermarket transformation, which took several years of planning and work to complete, is already having a positive impact on the area. Store manager Matt Evans, who has spent 17 years working for the company, explained that the massive refurbishment was designed to benefit shoppers, staff members, and the broader community. He noted that the team has grown significantly in recent months, bringing the total number of supermarket workers to more than 120.

Focus on Fresh and Easy Meals

The upgraded shop floor now places a heavy focus on domestic farmers, stocking 100 per cent Australian beef alongside fresh, locally sourced seafood in the deli. Shoppers looking for specific dietary options can find a much wider grocery selection, including dedicated sections for plant-based proteins and gluten-free items.

For families needing a quick meal after a busy day, the supermarket introduced a dedicated section for easy dinners. This area is packed with fresh pizzas, pastas, soups, salads, and barbecue favourites to help parents sort out dinner in a flash.

Upgraded Shopping Convenience

To make grocery trips even smoother, the store is launching an expanded drive-up collection service later in July. Customers will have access to six covered parking bays to quickly grab their online grocery orders without ever having to leave their cars. The Morayfield Road location trades from 7am to 9pm from Monday to Saturday, and operates between 9am and 6pm on Sundays.
